GISOL is the WORST HOST BY FAR I have EVER ENCOUNTERED!

This is my complaint of Gisol's corporate skullduggery and worse which I
suffered at the end of 2007 and wrote up on 1/04/2008.

On 12/24/07 I called my web host Gisol.com (866-244-7925) because I had been
experiencing intermittent connectivity with my website and finally none at
all. James said I needed to call the domain redemption dept at the LA
headquarters of Gisol (323-924-5915). When I did, I was told by Craig that my
domain name had expired, and that they had sent me three emails. They had
not; I check my spam regularly and I had all my emails since the claimed
expiration date, which was strangely not conterminous with my account's
renewal date. My old account was $95.40 for 15 months. Craig offered to set
me up with a equivalent site and if I used Mastercard the cost would only be
$3.57 with free domain name for one year and free setup. I pointed out that I
had paid through to Aug. 11, 2008 on my current web site. Craig assured me
that my cost for the new site would reflect a refund on the old. The new
domain name would be free for the first year and $9.95 after that. I said I
would pay by the year. He said that was fine and turned me over to Anna to
set up the account. I repeated all the above to her and she agreed. She
asked me whether I wanted Window or Kinux server; I said Linux and I checked
to be sure that the account would have php, and though she did not know what
that was, she assured me that the account would be the same as my old account.
And it was, although I had to make a special request for them to transfer the
files over to the new account and it was done only a day or so later. I had
also asked her if they would redirect a separate domain name that I had
pointed to a subdomain to the same named subdomain in the new website. She
said yes, but again I had to make a separate request to have that done. Since
the cost of the site was to be $42.84 (12 * $3.57) minus my refund of $44.52
(7/15 * $95.40), you can imagine my surprise when I got the email the day of
my order with the password and immediate url and listing a charge of $1798.20
for three years (not the one year I had ordered) with no invoice explaining a
charge more than 36 times larger than I had been told. I immediately called
to get an explanation and to protest the charge, but I was told that they were
closed and would not reopen until January 2, 2008.

I then emailed admin@gisol.com which Andy (866-244-7925) told me was the only
office which could resolve the matter. He assured me that I would get a
response in 24 hours. It did not happen; in fact, I still have not gotten a
response on this matter from anyone at Gisol.com. Andy did give me the
telephon number of Gisol's admin department and when I called it on 1/2/08, it
was inoperative, "temporarily unavailable", and when I called the telephone
number on the Mastercard charge which had been submitted by Gisol almost
immediately, I was informed that the call could not be completed as dialed.
On the basis of this my mastercard removed the charge from my account once it
was no longer pending, and put it in dispute on 1/2/2008. On 1/4/08 I tried to
close that account with Gisol by clicking Cancel Account on the Control Panel.
I got an error message saying "Internal Error, Tech Support Was Notified."

Dear Admin,

It has now been over 216 hours (9*24) since I first tried to contact you
regarding the massive overcharge detailed below. I was promised a response
from Admin in 24 hours by your people. Your error needs to be rectified
immediately; the number that Mastercard has for your charge is not in service.

Awaiting your prompt action,

Allan Wooley (kingman & kingman1)

>Dear Sales,

>The actual charge for 36 months should not be $1,798.20 or even
